​17 AGAIN LOSSES: The Rochester Red Wings dropped their 17th-straight game in Columbus Sunday, 3-2, extending their franchise-record losing streak...RHP Cade Cavalli tossed 5.0 innings, allowing two runs on six hits and three walks while punching out four Clippers...LHP Francisco Perez, RHP Tyler Clippard (ML-Rehab), RHP Connor Sadzeck and LHP Alberto Baldonado came on in relief and allowed just one run on two hits and a walk, striking out two batters in the process...SS CJ Abrams logged the sole multi-hit performance of the contest with two doubles...the rest of Rochester's three hits were distributed amongst LF Andrew Stevenson (HR), CF David Dahl and 1B John Nogowski (2B)...the Red Wings send RHP Daniel Ponce de Leon to the hill tonight in search of the squad's first win since July 15.

LORD HAVE MERCY: During this 17-game skid, the Wings have been outscored 109-62, including being shut out three separate times...the Wings have tied or outhit their opponent in eight of the 17 games...

​Six losses have been of the one-run variety

CADE CA-BALLIN: RHP Cade Cavalli delivered five innings of two-run ball, but took the loss Sunday in the finale of a six-game set in Columbus...in 11 starts since 5/22, the number two-ranked Nationals prospect (MLB.com) has allowed just 14 earned in 56.2 innings (2.22 ERA), striking out 58 while walking just 20 (2.90 K/BB)...over his first seven starts (4/7-5/17), the Oklahoma-native posted a 7.62 ERA (28.1 IP/24 ER) with 27 punch-outs and 14 base-on-balls (1.93 K/BB).

ARMORED UP: SS CJ Abrams went 2-for-4 with two doubles and a run on Sunday...his two doubles tie his season-high number of extra-base hits in a contest this season (3x) with his last coming on 6/14 with El Paso (San Diego)...in his last 16 games played (13 w/ SD, three w/ ROC), the shortstop is slashing .302/.333/.461 with a homer, four RBI and five runs...he was the only Wing to pick up multiple hits in the game.

EYE ON THE DAHL: RF David Dahl extended his hit-streak to five games with his 1-for-4 effort Sunday...Dahl has a hit in 17-of-his-last 22 games (since 6/30) and earned a seven-game hit-streak in that time (6/30-7/7)...the lefty bat has a .279 (82-for-294) average in Triple-A this year (two teams: ROC & NAS) with 10 homers, a triple, 18 doubles, and 45 RBI...if the Alabama-native picks up an RBI tonight, it will be the 300th of his Minor League career.

JOHN NUKE-GOWSKI: 1B John Nogowski went 1-for-3 with a double, walk and an RBI on Sunday...Nogowski has a hit in five-of-his-last seven games and is batting .368 (7-for-19) and has poked a home run, two doubles, and four RBI since joining the squad on 8/2...the former Florida State Seminole's double marked his 610th career MiLB knock.

BULLY-PEN: The Wings 'pen has allowed just five earned through the first six games of August (26.0 IP) after working three full innings and giving up one earned Sunday, good for a 1.73 ERA...this comes after finishing the month of July with a 5.61 ERA (106.1 IP/66 ER in 24 games, including just three saves in eight opportunities...on the season, Rochester relievers rank fourth in the International League in strikeouts (544), first in home runs allowed (36), and fourth in batting average against (.230).

DANNY'S FAVORITE: Rochester will send RHP Daniel Ponce de Leon to the mound tonight in hopes of halting their skid at 17 games...over his first two starts with the Wings, the former St. Louis Cardinal has allowed three earned in eight innings pitched (3.38 ERA), while posting a 7.95 ERA in 16 starts with Tacoma (71.1 IP/63 ER)...over his past five starts dating back to 7/1, the right-hander has recorded 18 punch outs in 15.1 innings (10.57 K/9).
