
Rochester RazorSharks on the radio for 2005-06 season

Rochester RazorSharks News Release
(Rochester, N.Y.)Å The Rochester RazorSharks professional basketball team and Clear Channel Radio announced today an agreement to broadcast all 18 home games of the American Basketball Association franchise from The Blue Cross Arena in downtown Rochester. Ten games will be broadcast live on WHTK AM-1280, with eight games tape delayed until later that same evening.
"This is an important step in promoting our basketball team to the Rochester community," said Orest Hrywnak, Chief Operating Officer and General Manager of the RazorSharks. "Fans who are unable to come to the Blue Cross Arena on game nights will be able to hear all of the exciting action of ABA basketball. Clear Channel Radio in Rochester is a big supporter of local sports and the RazorSharks look forward to becoming a part of their on-air team."
Gene Battaglia will handle the play-by-play for the RazorSharks from courtside. The veteran broadcaster has called Fordham University and Roberts Wesleyan college basketball games and Rochester Rattlers professional lacrosse games. He is a graduate of Aquinas High School.
The RazorSharks open the inaugural season in the ABA on Saturday, November 5 at 7:35 p.m. at The Blue Cross Arena against the Buffalo Rapids. Individual game tickets are on sale at The Blue Cross Arena Box office, all TicketMaster locations and via www.ticketmaster.com.
