Heat Wave hire Tim Gibbs as assistant coach

Fresno, CA. Tim Gibbs joins the ABA Fresno Heatwave professional basketball team as Assistant Coach and Director of Community Relations. Gibbs brings a vast amount of experience to the game. A native of Brooklyn, NY, he has been involved in professional basketball for 24 years as a player and coach, including stints in Europe, Asia, Central and South America. He is also no stranger to the ABA having coached the Tijuana Dragons in its inaugural season.

Gibbs also coached the Mayas de Yucatan of the Mexican Pro League and was named Coach of the Year as well as leading the team to the championship game. Gibbs stated, "After a 17 year playing career, I really enjoy sharing my experiences and teaching the game. I want to help players improve on their game and hopefulkly get to the nexst level or to have productive careers internationally."
