Robinson Has Two Hits in 6-0 Loss to Mets

MANCHESTER, NH- Clint Robinson had two hits, two of the five allowed by Binghamton's Rafael Montero in seven scoreless innings, as the Mets blanked the Fisher Cats 6-0 before 6,037 on Saturday night at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium.

Montero (6-3) combined with Chase Huchingson in victory for Binghamton (32-24). Ryan Tepera (5-4) took the loss for the Fisher Cats (28-29).

Binghamton plated the game's first run. Daniel Muno led off the game with a single and scored on a double by left fielder Cory Vaughn.

The Mets extended the lead to 3-0 in the top of the second. Wilfredo Tovar reached on an error and Muno (3-for-5, HR, 3 RBI) followed with his second home run of the season.

Binghamton scored again in the top of the third inning. Blake Forsythe singled, moved to third on a single by Joe Bonfe and came across on a fielders choice by Alonzo Harris. Tovar drew a two-out walk in the top of the fifth, stole second, and scored on a single by Muno to put the Mets up 5-0.

Vaughn drilled a solo home run in the top of the eighth for Binghamton's final run.

The brief homestand comes to an end Sunday at 1:35pm. With more perfect weather in the forecast, we'll honor the Law Enforcement community with Law Enforcement Day.
