Knoxville Ice Bears News Release
Knoxville, TENN - Ice Bears head coach Jeff Carr announced Monday a trade which will send Anthony Flaherty and Tyler Palmer to the Fayetteville Marksmen for, defenseman, Sean Robertson.
Sean Robertson (26), from Cobble Hill, British Columbia, joins the Ice Bears roster on the day of the Southern Professional Hockey League's trade deadline. Due to a lower-body injury, Robertson was sidelined, until recently, playing five games between the SPHL and ECHL. He is a veteran defenseman who will bolster Knoxville's roster on the defensive end.
Coach Carr speaks highly of Robertson's play, "I got to coach Sean last season, in the ECHL (East Coast Hockey League), and he plays a simple, aggressive game. He is desired in 'The Coast' [ECHL] and should be a big help to this team, as we make a big playoff push."
While in Knoxville, Flaherty racked up 20 points and 29 PIMs, playing key roles on multiple lines and special teams. Palmer had 12 points and 29 PIMs playing from the back end of the ice.
