ROANOKE, VA - The Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs announced on Monday that defenseman Patrick Harrison has been signed to a contract.

Harrison has spent time with four other teams this year, three of which were in the SPHL. He opened the season with Birmingham and then joined the FHL's Cornwall Nationals, where he was a teammate of current Rail Yard Dawgs Eric Witzel, Cam Bakker, Yan Dumontier and Maxime Guyon. He joined the Pensacola Ice Flyers in December and was traded to the Evansville Thunderbolts in February. Evansville released Harrison on Wednesday. Overall in 40 SPHL games this season, he has a goal and four assists.

The Ontario native spent a portion of his junior hockey career at the Major Junior level in both the OHL and QMJHL. Harrison played six games of the 2016-17 season with the Peoria Rivermen where he was a teammate of Roanoke head coach Dan Bremner.

The Rail Yard Dawgs finish out the regular season this weekend in Peoria against the Rivermen. Friday night's puck drop is scheduled for 7:15 PM CDT at Carver Arena.
