GREENVILLE, S.C., January 12 - The Roanoke Dazzle has acquired center/forward D'or Fischer from the NBA Development League available player pool and waived forward Nate Daniels.
Fischer, 6-10, 247, was in 2005 training camp with the Charlotte Bobcats. He played in four preseason games, averaging 16.5 minutes, 4.3 points and 2.3 rebounds before being released on October 25, 2005.
He played his last two college seasons at West Virginia after beginning his career at Northwestern State. In two seasons as a Mountaineer he played in 65 games averaging 22.9 minutes, 9.2 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.9 blocks. His 140 blocked shots as a junior established a West Virginia single-season record.
Daniels, who was selected by Roanoke in the sixth round (45th overall) of the 2005 D-League Draft, played in 16 games for the Dazzle, averaging 11.3 minutes, 3.6 points and 1.2 rebounds.
