
Roanoke Acquires Rhymer

GREENVILLE, S.C., April 14 â The Roanoke Dazzle has acquired center Kitwana Rhymer from the NBA's National Basketball Development League available player pool. Rhymer fills the roster spot vacated when James Thomas signed with the Atlanta Hawks.
Rhymer, 6-10, 256, was a fourth-round (19th overall) selection by Columbus in the 2004 NBDL Draft. He played 31 games (five starts) with the Riverdragons, averaging 22.2 minutes, 4.5 points and 4.9 rebounds before being waived on February 25.
A University of Massachusetts ('03) product, Rhymer is expected to be in uniform Saturday when the Dazzle travels to Columbus for the semi-final round of the 2005 NBDL Championship Tournament.
