
Roadrunners Win Opener in Extra Innings

ROBSTOWN, Texas---The Edinburg Roadrunners posted their first win in their season-opener taking 10 innings to defeat the Coastal Bend Thunder 8-6 Thursday night at Richard M. Borchard Fairgrounds Field.
Edinburg was up 5-3 going into the fourth inning compliments of two doubles from infielder Felix Molina.
The Thunder tied things up at six in the bottom of the ninth, but Edinburg was able to post two runs in the top of the 10th. Closer Julio Castro sealed the deal with a pop-out to second and a runner at third base giving Edinburg the win in their first game of season.
