EDINBURG, Texas - Daryl Jones drove in the go ahead run in the top of the 10 th inning to lead the San Angelo Colts past the Edinburg Roadrunners 4-1 Thursday night at Edinburg Baseball Stadium.

Tied at one in the top of the 10th, Jones led the San Angelo rally with an RBI single that scored the eventual winning run snapping Edinburg's two-game win streak.

The Roadrunners (48-31) started the scoring in the bottom of the fifth. Felix Molina reached on an error and then moved to second on a stolen base. Tim Battle followed with an RBI single that allowed Molina to score for the 1-0 lead.

San Angelo (39-40) answered in the top of the sixth against Jose Oyervidez. Darly Jones led off the inning with a walk and then stole second and moved to third on a throwing error. Two outs later, Jones comes in to score on a wild pitch tying the game at one.

That is all both starting pitchers would allow. Oyervidez pitched nine innings and allowed one run, which was not earned, with eight strikeouts but received a no decision. Logan Williamson (8-3) also pitched nine innings and allowed just one run with seven strikeouts but received the win.

In the top of the 10th, Daryl Jones broke the tie with an RBI single that drove in Mark Ramos from second. After Cory Patton singled putting runners on the corners, Salvador Paniagua hit a two-run double scoring Jones and Patton giving the Colts the 4-1 advantage.

Erik Draxton came on in the bottom of the 10th and pitched a scoreless inning for his 19th save of the season giving San Angelo the 4-1 victory.

The Roadrunners and Colts will play the final game of their four-game series Friday night at Edinburg Baseball Stadium. Aaron Tullo (4-3) is expected to face Mark Willinsky (7-5) with the first pitch scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
