
Colts Beat Roadrunners in Extras

Edinburg, Texas --- The Colts scored three unanswered runs in the top of the 10th inning to defeat the Edinburg Roadrunners, 4-1, Thursday night at Edinburg Stadium.
Second baseman Mark Ramos led off the inning with a single and advanced to second on left fielder Jason Diaz's sacrifice bunt. Ramos then scored on an RBI single by first baseman Daryl Jones.
Centerfielder Cory Patton followed with a base hit, and he and Jones came home on an RBI double by catcher Salvador Paniagua. For Paniagua, they were his first RBIs as a member of the Colts.
Edinburg reliever Ryan Smith (3-5) gave up all three runs on as many hits in 1/3 of an inning for the loss.
Colts' starter Logan Williamson (8-3) earned the win. He gave up an unearned run on five hits, and struck out seven batters in nine innings. Closer Erik Draxton pitched a scoreless bottom of the 10th to collect his league-best 19th save.
The win improves San Angelo to 39-40, while the loss drops Edinburg to 48-31. This series concludes Friday night at Edinburg Stadium. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m., and the game can be heard live on KKSA beginning at 6:50 p.m.
San Angelo returns home on August 18 to play the Abilene Prairie Dogs. It will be the Vegas Fan Fly Away, sponsored by Midland International Airport. One fan will win two tickets to Las Vegas, courtesy of Midland International Airport. Gates open at 6:05 p.m., and first pitch is set for 7:05 p.m.
