RoadRunners Edge Wranglers 2-1 - Las Vegas Heads to Idaho This Wednesday at 6:10 PM

Las Vegas, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers® (26-20-5, 57 points) were defeated by the Phoenix RoadRunners (22-23-3, 47 points) 2-1 in front of 3,693 fans Monday afternoon at the Orleans Arena. Winger Merit Waldrop scored the game-winning goal with 9:50 remaining in the third period, leading the RoadRunners past Las Vegas. Forward Tyler Mosienko scored the lone Las Vegas goal. Former Wrangler Jim Jorgensen had a goal and an assist for Phoenix. Goalie Glenn Fisher stopped 37 shots as he lost to Phoenix for the first time in his career. Phoenix goalie Kyle Jones stopped 22 shots for his third win of the season. The Wranglers will be in Idaho for three games starting this Wednesday at 6:10 PM.

After a scoreless first period, Tyler Mosienko tallied a power-play goal at 6:09, giving Las Vegas a 1-0 lead. Mosienko fired in a rebound for his 13th goal of the season, set up by Sean Owens and Dan Spang. At 9:48, Phoenix defenseman Jim Jorgensen tied the game at 1-1 with his fourth goal of the season. Jorgensen hopped out of the penalty box and snapped a shot from the left circle, beating Las Vegas goalie Glenn Fisher.

Phoenix center Merit Waldrop tallied a power-play goal to give the RoadRunners a 2-1 lead at 10:10 of the final period. Kimbi Daniels and Jim Jorgensen set up Waldrop's fourth goal of the season, the eventual game-winning goal.

The Wranglers will head to Idaho for three games, starting this Wednesday at 6:10 PM.
