Greenville Swamp Rabbits News Release

Greenville, SC - The Greenville Road Warriors, proud ECHL affiliate of the New York Rangers and the AHL's Hartford Wolf Pack, are proud to unveil their 2015-16 regular season schedule. For the second consecutive year, the Road Warriors will begin the season in Orlando on Saturday, October 17, before returning to the Upstate for the home opener on Friday, October 23 against the South Carolina Stingrays.

The ECHL schedule is comprised of 72 games: 36 home and 36 away. Once again, the Road Warriors will boast a family and fan-friendly schedule that has 27 of the team's 36 home games being played on a Friday night, Saturday night, or Sunday afternoon. Greenville's home schedule will also feature seven Thursday night home games, one Monday night game and one Tuesday night contest.

"We are pleased that our schedule will continue to be very family and fan friendly," General Manager Chris Lewis said. "With 75-percent of our home games being played on weekend dates, we are afforded a fantastic opportunity to continue to deliver exciting promotions, tremendous added value for our fans and a great experience at the Well for the community to share."

On the ice, fans will have the opportunity to see 10 different opponents in the Upstate this season, including the first-ever matchup against the Alaska Aces on Thursday, January 14. In addition, Greenville will face former American Hockey League teams Norfolk, Manchester and Adirondack a total of 11 times, beginning Friday, November 6 when the Warriors travel to Virginia to face the Norfolk Admirals.

Greenville's most common opponent during the 2015-16 season will also be its closest, as the Road Warriors and Gwinnett Gladiators will battle a whopping 15 times (eight at home, seven on the road), including the season finale in Duluth, Georgia on Saturday, April 9. It will be the fourth time in six years that Greenville will conclude the season against Gwinnett. The Road Warriors will also meet South Carolina and Florida 11 times each, while Greenville and Orlando will battle nine times.

Among the many highlights of the 2015-16 schedule is the return of the Halloween home game on October 31 against Evansville. It will be the first Halloween contest in the Upstate in franchise history. Greenville will also take to the road and play on New Year's Eve for the first time since 2011, when the club travels to New Hampshire to welcome in 2016 and battle the Manchester Monarchs.

All home contests at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena, unless otherwise noted, will begin at 7:00 p.m., excluding Sunday afternoon games, which will begin at 3:00 p.m.
