Greenville Swamp Rabbits News Release
Greenville, SC - Today the Road Warriors announced the team has re-signed defensemen Lee Baldwin for the 2013-2014 season.
"Baldwin is a proven two-way defenseman we're excited to bring him back for the next season," Head Coach Dean Stork commented. "As one of our more experienced defenseman, we are looking to Lee for leadership, to log quality minutes, and to provide more of an offensive punch for next season."
Baldwin, 25, appeared in 59 games last season and posted many personal single-season highs. He notched 16 assists, 20 points, 90 shots on goal, 42 penalty minutes, and a +14 rating; all career bests. The Victoria, British Columbia native was sidelined for a month after suffering an injury in the home opener. The 6'3'' 209 lbs. defenseman enters his fourth season with the Road Warriors. He has also played in 45 career games in the AHL with the Connecticut Whale and the Hartford Wolf Pack.
"It's a great city with great fans; I just love Greenville," said Baldwin. "This last year was just incredible. Playing on the ice when you got 5,000 or 7,000 people cheering for you, it's a great feeling. You can't beat it."
