Saginaw Spirit forward Jean-Michel Rizk will join the quest for gold with Team Canada for the World U-18 championship in Minsk, Belarus in early April. It's the third all-star team appearance for Rizk since joining the Saginaw Spirit as the team's first ever draft pick in 2002.

"I'm really flattered to be picked," said Rizk. "This is going to be a tough tournament, but I'm very proud to represent Saginaw overseas."

Rizk was a bronze medal winner, with teammate Daniel Borges, in January 2003 for Team Ontario in the Canada Winter Games. He also appeared with the Canadian U-18 team in August of 2003 for the World Junior Cup in the Czech Republic. Rizk is an 18 year old native of New Liskeard, Ontario. He had 10 goals and 18 assists in 68 games with the Spirit in the 2003-04 season.
