
Riversharks Fall in Slugfest

Terry Tiffee hit two home runs including a grand slam and Fernando Seguignol had four hits as the Lancaster Barnstormers won a high-scoring affair over the Camden Riversharks by the final score of 9-8. Jerome Williams (4-0) picked up the win despite allowing a season-high seven runs on eight hits. âSharks starter Robert Rohrbaugh (1-3) lasted just 4.2 innings allowing a season-high nine runs on nine hits.
Camden (7-20) got on the board first in the first inning when Mike Lamb hit his 4th home run of the season off Williams making it 1-0 âSharks. Lamb finished the game with a season-high four hits.
Brian Burgamy doubled the Riversharks lead in the 3rd inning with an RBI ground out plating Lloyd Turner.
The Barnstormers (16-8) bats woke up in the 4th inning against Camden starter Robert Rohrbaugh. After an Aaron Herr sacrifice fly, Terry Tiffee gave Lancaster a 3-2 with a two-run home run to left-center field.
After the Riversharks tied up the game at 3-3, Lancaster exploded for six runs in the top of the fifth highlighted by Terry Tiffee's grand slam, his second home run in as many innings.
Camden began to chip away in the bottom of the fifth when Raul Padron hit his team-leading 6th home run cutting the deficit to 9-5. The Riversharks added two more runs in the 6th inning courtesy of RBI hits by Mike Lamb and Brian Burgamy closing the gap to 9-7.
Drew Macias brought Camden within a run on an RBI double in the 7th inning, but couldn't bring across the tying run in the final two innings.
The Barnstormers and Riversharks will continue their series tomorrow night as Ross Peeples (1-2) will face off against Jake Dittler (1-4). First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 PM. Individual and group tickets can be purchased online at www.riversharks.com or by calling 1-866-SHARKS-9.
