Peoria Rivermen News Release

Peoria, IL - The Peoria Rivermen announced today that the team has signed center Dean Yakura to a full contract, waived goaltender Mason Pulde, and inked defenseman Austin Frank to a 3-game tryout contract ahead of this weekend's games in Evansville. The Rivermen are also expected to activate goaltender Storm Phaneuf from Injured Reserve Friday morning, when he is first eligible to return to active duty.

Yakura returns to the Rivermen after he was waived earlier this week, having skated in seven games without registering a point, going -4 with eight penalty minutes. Frank, meanwhile, saw action in four of Peoria's first five games of the season, recording three assists before being released November 6.

Pulde departs Peoria after going 2-0-2 with a 3.16 GAA and an .892 save percentage in four outings. Last season with the Rivermen, Pulde posted a 1.44 GAA and a .956 saves rate, going 6-0-1 over ten outings, including seven starts.

The Rivermen are set to return to the ice for games tomorrow and Saturday at Evansville before returning home for games November 23 and 24 against the Thunderbolts and Pensacola Ice Flyers, respectively, at Carver Arena. November 24 is Peoria's second annual Wiener Dog Race Night, presented by Camp Bow Wow of Peoria, with specialty jerseys worn by the Rivermen and auctioned off postgame, and the team's second ever Dachshund Race on ice during intermissions. Tickets to all of Peoria's remaining 2018-19 home games are available by calling the team at (309)-676-1040.

Single-game, group and season tickets for Peoria's 37th season of professional hockey presented by Midwest Orthopaedic Center are on sale at the Toyota Box Office in the Peoria Civic Center, or by phone at the Rivermen office, located at 201 S.W. Jefferson Street, or over the phone at (309) 676-1040.
