Mississippi RiverKings News Release

In case you weren't aware, today is Guinness World Records Day. The folks at Guinness celebrate this day (November 13th) every year in honor of the 100,000,000th copy of their book being sold to commemorate all types of world records being set.

There are a number of world record attempts going on today. Efforts are being made today to put together the largest line of pizzas, bring together the most people arm wrestling, the largest cup of tea and the largest tea bag, the most people wearing superhero outfits, largest gathering of people wearing underpants, and the largest flaming image using candles.

The reason I bring this up is to give you a heads up on something planned for January 31st when the RiverKings play the expansion Rapid City Rush at the DeSoto Civic Center. The people at Guinness have approved our attempt at setting a world's record for the largest mass duck call.

Briefly, everyone who attends the game that night will be given a duck call. At a certain time during the game, fans will be asked to blow their duck calls for a sustained amount of time, in the attempt to set the record.

More information will be forthcoming as we get closer to the date, but especially on Guinness World Records Day, November 13th, we wanted you to be aware that an attempt at a world's record will be taking place in the Mid-South on January 31st, when the Rush meet the RiverKings at the DeSoto Civic Center.
