RiverKings to feature Sunny Meadows Safe Haven for Pets

Southaven -- The RiverKings look to grab a playoff spot Sunday, March 16 when the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs come to the DeSoto Civic Center for a 5:05pm match up. Sunday's game will feature Sunny Meadows Safe Haven for Pets as the RiverKings nightly featured nonprofit.

Sunny Meadows Safe Haven for Pets is a Southaven based pet adoption center that has been in existence for seven years. Sunny Meadows adopted approximately 500 animals last year and at any given time have 150-200 dogs and cats in their adoption system.

Through www.sunnymeadows.org, Sunny Meadows Safe Haven for Pets is able to adopt their animals to people all over the United States.

"We do not just adopt to anyone," Bonnie Bain, Sunny Meadows representative said. "Our adoption process is extensive. We have an application and check references."

Sunday when Sunny Meadows attends the RiverKings game they will have adoptable animals at their table on the Civic Center concourse, behind section 117.

"Partnering with the RiverKings is great," Bain continued. "It's an incredible thing for the RiverKings to offer to help us raise money. Caring for as many animals as we do, every penny counts."

To help their organization raise funds Sunny Meadows is selling tickets to the RiverKings matchup Sunday, March 16. Gold seating level tickets are $18, with $9 from each ticket benefitting Sunny Meadows. Red seating level tickets are $12, with $5 from each ticket benefitting Sunny Meadows.
