HELP THE FIGHT IN RECYCLING

FANS BRING THE FOLLOWING RECYCLING ITEMS FOR A CHANCE TO WIN SOME FUN PRIZES............

Plastics, aluminums, paper and any old athletic shoes

(benefiting the Nike reuse a shoe program)

- Did you know that recycling one ton of recycled aluminum saves 14,000 kilowatts of energy, 40 barrels - or 1,663 gallons - of oil, and 238 million B-T-Us of energy?! But every little bit helps - by recycling one aluminum can, you save enough energy to run a television for 3 hours.

- Recycling a one-foot high stack of newspapers saves 71.3 kilowatt hours of electricity... enough to heat a home for 17 hours.

- Did you know that Americans use 2.5 million plastic bottles every hour?! We need to recycle with all that waste! By recycling a one-gallon plastic milk jug, you will save enough energy to keep a 100-watt bulb burning for 11 hours.

- Give your old, stinky pair of athletic shoes a new life! We are proud to offer the first collection event in Tulsa for Nike's Reuse-A-Shoe program. Nike recycles any brand of old athletic shoes into materials used in sports surfaces like basketball courts, tennis courts, athletic fields, running tracks and playgrounds for young people around the world.

LEARN MORE BY ATTENDING THE TULSA OILERS MIDLAND RECYCLING NIGHT MARCH 14th.

Midland Recycling, The M.e.t., Tulsa Recycle's and Gentle Earth Recycling will be on hand to answer questions and provide information on your local recycling options in the Tulsa Metro area.

REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE!
