RiverKings Shoot Down Rush for Second Straight Game

SOUTHAVEN, MS --- Mississippi defeated Rapid City 4-3 in a shootout on Thursday, January 28th, at the DeSoto Civic Center in Southaven.

Louis Dumont scored two goals, a shorthanded goal at 15:52 of the third period, and the first goal of the eventual shootout, which became the game-winner, as the RiverKings won the shootout 2-0.

Bobby Chaumont and Kevin Truelson also scored goals for the RiverKings.

Mark Sibbald won his fourth straight game in goal with a 20-save effort. His record is now 4-0-0.

With the win, Mississippi has a 21-15-4 record heading into a clash Friday night with the Thunder at 7:05 PM in Wichita.

The RiverKings' next home game will be Tuesday, February 2nd, when they host the Allen Americans at the DeSoto Civic Center at 7:05 PM. It's 80's Night with DJ Inferno playing tunes and the band "Aqua Net" will also play your favorite 80's music. An authenic DeLorean automobile will also on display.
