CORDOVA-Mississippi RiverKings players Leland Fidler and Paul D'Agostino visited pre-school classes at First Assembly Christian School on Wednesday, Feb. 1 as part of preparations for Belhaven University Faith and Family Night at the RiverKings game on Friday, Feb. 3.

D'Agostino was able to put his University of Lowell-Massachusetts English degree to work reading to the students. Fidler, a Bowdoin College graduate, led the demonstration portion of the appearance, as D'Agostino assisted him in helping student Lane Pizer to suit up in roller hockey gear. The two talked about what part of the body each piece protects and its importance before allowing each child to come up and take several shots on goal while Pizer defended.

Belhaven University Faith and Family Night this Friday will feature a performance by the nationally recognized Zooperstars! mascot touring troupe. Christian and family-friendly music will be played during the game, which will open with prayer by RiverKings forward Kevin Fukala and Belhaven University Director of Admissions & Student Services and ordained pastor Don Jones.
