RIVERKINGS HERE AND THERE

After collecting an assist on Saturday night, Winger Jason Sessa is on a 7-game point streak. The team's leading goal scorer has 5 goals and 4 assists during the streak. His career high point streak is 12 games and took place in the 2000-01 season when he played with the South Carolina Stingrays of the ECHL.

The current first place tie that the RiverKings are a part of in the Northeast Division marks the first time since 11/27 that the team did not have sole possession of first place. The RiverKings have either been tied for or in sole possession of first place for all but 16 days this season.

The RiverKings' magic number to clinch a Northern Conference playoff spot is 3 points. Any accumulation of points by the RiverKings through a wins or overtime loss and a loss of possible points by Tulsa via a loss or overtime loss that equals 3 points will put the RiverKings in the playoffs for the first time since the 2002-2003 season.

Ryan Held had a 4 game goal scoring streak snapped in Saturday night's loss to Rocky Mountain. Held has 5 goals in the last 5 games.

The RiverKings have scored the first goal in 5 straight games. They are 3-1-1 in those games. Overall, the RiverKings have gotten on the board first in 31 of their 51 games and are 24-5-2 in those games.

The loss to the Rage on Saturday was the RiverKings' first regulation loss at home since a 3-1 loss to Wichita at the DCC on 11/24. In that span, the club was 14-0-2 on home ice and are 19-4-4. The RiverKings' 4 losses at home are tied with Colorado and Bossier-Shreveport for the fewest in the CHL.

The RiverKings are 5-0-0 in the 5 games that they have played at the Chevrolet Centre in Youngstown.
