DUMONT AWARDED CHL PERFORMANCE OF THE WEEK

The Central Hockey League (CHL) has announced that RiverKings' veteran Louis Dumont has been voted the winner of the CHL Performance of the Week for the week of November 30-December 6 for his four-goal third period in the RiverKings' 6-3 win over Colorado on December 4. The Calgary native's team found themselves down 3-2 with just over seven minutes remaining in regulation when Dumont decided to take things into his hands. The 5-10, 180-pound forward tied the game at the 12:59 mark and then scored back-to-back power play goals just 1:36 apart giving Mississippi a 5-3 lead. His fourth goal of the night came with 1:28 remaining into an Eagles empty-net. For his efforts, Dumont also won the Oakley CHL Player of the Week award for that week adding three assists in his team's only other game for a seven-point week. A total of 8,627 votes were cast with Dumont receiving 5,018 of them accounting for 58%. Finishing second was Missouri goaltender Alexandre Vincent who shutout Wichita for the Mavericks' first home shutout in franchise history on December 4th (2,610 votes).

EBAY JERSEY AUCTIONS BACK THE JR. STREETKINGS, FORMER DUMONT TEAMMATE

There are currently two jersey auctions on Ebay that are attempting to assist the Jr. StreetKings youth rolley hockey program, and a former teammate of Louis Dumont, Rob Weingartner.

The auction for the Jr. StreetKings has an authentic Washington Capitals' jersey worn by RiverKings Coach Kevin "Killer" Kaminski. It ends on December 20th.

The auction for Louis Dumont is that of a game-worn RiverKings jersey Dumont wore last season in the team's Northeast Division championship campaign. Funds raised from this will go toward funding the medical expenses of Rob Weingartner, who played in Louisiana with Dumont when both were in the ECHL. Weingartner, also a former Wichita Thunder player during his career, has been battling colon cancer and Dumont wants to use the auction help in the expenses his former teammate is now undergoing. This auction ends tomorrow, December 17th.

For more information on both auctions, check the team web site, www.riverkings.com.
