SOUTHAVEN, Miss. - Mississippi RiverKings goaltender Matt Grogan has been loaned to the ECHL's Orlando Solar Bears, the team announced today. Grogan is the first RiverKings player to earn a promotion to the ECHL this season.

Grogan, 27, is in his first season with the RiverKings, has made two starts and is 2-0-0 with a 1.98 goals-against average and a .923 save percentage. He started and won for the RiverKings last night as they defeated the Macon Mayhem, 4-3, in overtime at the Landers Center. The 5-foot-10, 170-pound Gilbert, Arizona native has four games of ECHL experience to his name. He finished the 2013-14 season with the Fort Wayne Komets and won three games is four appearances after finishing his college career at UConn.

The RiverKings have signed local goalie Dominic Bianchi as the team's emergency backup for tonight's home game against the Columbus Cottonmouths.
