(Southaven, MS) --- The Central Hockey League's (CHL) Mississippi RiverKings have announced two more signings to its roster as training camp started this afternoon (Monday). RiverKings Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Kevin "Killer" Kaminski has added forward Kevin Jarman and goaltender Ray Jean.

The 24-year old Jarman will be in his second season of professional hockey. Kevin did not play last season due to hip surgery, but in the 2007-08 season played under Kaminski for 45 games with the CHL's Youngstown SteelHounds. Jarman also played eight games with the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Kaminski likes Jarman's determination and potential. "Kevin is a very strong skater who has a great release and can score goals. He has a great work ethic along with intensity. Kevin has come into camp in great shape and is very eager to get on the ice."

During his time in Youngstown, the Aurora, Ontario native scored 19 goals for 35 points and 88 penalty minutes. With Syracuse, Jarman tacked on a pair of goals. His hockey background also included a four-year career at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and two years with the Stouffville Spirit of the Ontario Provincial Junior Hockey League.

Jarman was a fourth-round draft choice (number 103 overall) of the National Hockey League's Columbus Blue Jackets in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.

The 26-year old Jean has been used primarily in a back-up role the past two professional seasons, with the AHL's Portland Pirates last season and with the ECHL's Wheeling Nailers during 2007-08.

A native of Randolph, Maine, the 5-foot-7, 175 pound Jean entered the professional ranks after a four-year collegiate career spent between the University of Maine and Bentley College. Most of his playing time came at Bentley, where Jean played in 54 games over two seasons, fashioned a 3.38 goals-against-average and a save percentage of .900. His best season at Bentley was in his junior year, where Jean played 29 games and earned a 2.86 goals-against-average and a save percentage of .916.

Kaminski said Jean can be a quality goaltender. "The coaches and scouts I've talked to say great things about his play, style and work ethic. He's been in the AHL with the Portland Pirates, but hasn't gotten a break. We look forward to seeing what Ray can bring to the table."

Season and individual game tickets are now available for another exciting season of RiverKings hockey in Southaven, beginning Friday, October 16th against the Tulsa Oilers at 7:05 PM. Call and reserve your season tickets now by calling the RiverKings at 662-342-1755.
