Riverhounds Rob Vincent Honored on USL PRO Team of the Week

Pittsburgh - Pittsburgh Riverhounds midfielder Rob Vincent was named to the USL PRO Team of the Week for Week 21 after tallying one of the three Riverhounds goals in the victory against VSI Tampa Bay FC on Sunday. The win clinched the Riverhounds one of the remaining post-season positions. A native of Liverpool, England, Vincent is in his first season with the Riverhounds and has proven to be a key player on the Club's offensive unit. In the past four games, Vincent has had spectacular performances, recording two of the Riverhounds six goals, both coming against VSI Tampa Bay.

"Robby has turned out to be one of our best 'finds' this season," said Head Coach Justin Evans. "Technically, we knew he was very sound, but he has also developed and adapted his game to the professional level nicely, and we anticipate very good things from him in the future."

This is Vincent's first time being honored on the USL PRO Team of the Week, but he received Honorable Mention last week for his goal against VSI Tampa Bay.

"I'm very proud of this achievement," said Vincent. "All in all, it doesn't matter to me who scores as long as we continue to cohesively play well together. It's very exciting to be moving into playoffs, and I'm confident that we are going to do well if we continue to keep this momentum going."

Joining Vincent on this week's USL PRO Team of the Week with Honorable Mentions are teammates Hunter Gilstrap and Jose Angulo. Gilstrap is recognized for keeping VSI Tampa Bay to just two goals in Sunday's match, while Angulo is honored for contributing a goal and an assist in the Riverhounds win. The goal was Angulo's 13th of the season, ranking him 2nd in the league.

Vincent and the Riverhounds return to Highmark Stadium on Saturday for their final game of the regular season. The Pittsburgh-side will welcome the league's current top seed, the Richmond Kickers for their home finale. The match is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. kick off. Following the match, a fireworks display presented by Pyrotecnico will light up the City skyline, capping a fantastic summer of soccer at Highmark Stadium. The match is SOLD OUT, the Club's second capacity crowd in August alone.
