Riverhounds Host Dayton Dutch Lions FC Saturday at Highmark Stadium

PITTSBURGH- The Pittsburgh Riverhounds play host to the Dayton Dutch Lions FC on Saturday, June 28th at 7:00PM at Highmark Stadium. It is the first game of a home and home series between the two regional rivals over the next three days.

Bringing up the bottom of the USL PRO table, both teams are looking to turn their seasons around at the mid-point of the season.The Riverhounds (1-8-5) are hoping to rebound from a disappointing 3-1 loss against the Richmond Kickers on June 22 at Highmark Stadium.

After the match interim head coach Niko Katic voiced his displeasure with the effort of his squad - something he expects to not be a repeat issue against the Dutch Lions:

"They looked sharp in practice this week...they worked hard. I expect them to come out tomorrow and leave their hearts on the field for the fans and the organization."

The Riverhounds are still seeking their first USL PRO win at Highmark Stadium in 2014. Trailing Dayton by three points with a game in hand, the Riverhounds look to pull ahead of the Dutch Lions with a win and begin their ascent up the USL PRO table.

Dayton (3-10-2, 11 points) is coming off of a 2-0 home loss to the league-leading Orlando City Lions. The Dutch Lions are led by forward Aaron Schoenfeld, whose 8 goals and 17 points on the season more than double the next closest player on their roster.

The two teams will square off again in Dayton on Tuesday, July 1 st.
