
Riverhounds Host Charlotte Eagles at Highmark Stadium

The Pittsburgh Riverhounds return home to Highmark Stadium this Thursday, July 17 th when they host the Charlotte Eagles in a 7:00PM match.
The Riverhounds (3-10-5 ) are coming off of a 2-0 road defeat at the hands of the Oklahoma Energy FC this past Saturday. The Energy capitalized on defensive breakdowns by Pittsburgh, as Michael Thomas and Danchrisandre Delgado Devilia scored early first half goals, both assisted by Adda Djeziri.
The Eagles (5-10-3) begin a two-game road trip in Pittsburgh and Dayton on the heels of a 1-0 home defeat against the expansion Sacramento Republic FC. The Eagles are in 10 th place in USL PRO standings, four points ahead of the Riverhounds. The top eight teams will advance to the playoffs.
The Riverhounds will be without the services of striker Collins John, who was released by the team this past week to return home to Europe. John scored four goals and had one assist in six USL PRO appearances. He also added a goal and an assist in two U.S. Open Cup matches.
All fans in attendance will receive a free ball cap courtesy of Highmark.
