
RiverHawks sign pitcher

LOVES PARK, Ill. - The Rockford RiverHawks announced Wednesday that they have signed pitcher Kyle Dempsey and released pitcher Levi Romero.
Dempsey, a right-hander, is a second-year professional. He appeared in one game last season with Macon of the independent South Coast League. Dempsey was 1-1 with a 5.02 ERA in 15 appearances earlier this season with the Washington Wild Things.
Romero did not appear in a game with Rockford.
The RiverHawks are members of the Frontier League, a 12-team independent professional baseball league in its 16th season. Advertising and ticket information is available by calling (815) 885-2255.
