Riverhawks Nest Notes

December 22, 2006 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Quad City Riverhawks News Release

Davenport - The Quad City Riverhawks (10-4) and ranked #6 in the ABA Professional basketball power rankings will make the trip to Peoria on Friday looking for redemption as they face the Peoria Kings (4-9).

Two of the Riverhawks four loses have come at the hands of the Kings. Making this game extra special is the need to bring the traveling trophy, which was presented to Peoria on December 17 prior to the game, back to the Quad Cities and bury the hatchet between the two organizations. The Riverhawks will then travel to Minnesota to take on the Ripknees in a 2 game set December 27 & 28. Originally scheduled as a 1 game trip, the Riverhawks where made aware of the additional game the same day they found out they did not have to travel Anderson at the beginning of December.

The Riverhawks other two losses are courtesy of Minnesota ranked #3 in the power rankings behind the Arkansas Aeros and Vermont Frost heaves. The Riverhawks finish up the 4 game road trip on December 30 as they finally make the trip to Anderson to take on the Champions.

The Riverhawks next home game is Friday, January 5 as the Chicago Rockstars make a return visit to Marycrest College. Tickets are available by logging onto www.etix.com, calling the Riverhawks office at 563/445-2375 or available at Marycrest prior to the game. For more information visit www.qcriverhawks.com.

Nest News - The Riverhawks traded 6'9" forward Chris Bacon to the St. Louis Stunners for cash and the February 24 game scheduled in St. Louis has been moved to February 19, in St. Louis, due to a building conflict.
