Riverhawks Host Arkansas Impact In West Division Championship Game

Davenport, IA- The Quad City Riverhawks will host the Arkansas Impact in the first PBL West Division Championship game. Tip off is set for 7:00PM Thursday at Black Hawk College.
The River Hawks are the West Division Regular Season Champions and #1 seed in the west. Arkansas is the #2 seed and finished the season at .500 with a record of 10-10. To get to the championship game they defeated the Chicago Throwbacks 115-102 on Tuesday and the Rockford Fury 112-108 on Wednesday. Quad City is 3-1 this season verses Arkansas and on a three game winning streak against the Impact. The âHawks lost their first game this season in Little Rock to the Impact 112-109. The last time these teams met the Riverhawks took a 109-104 decision at Wharton Field House. Ryan Edwards hit a late three in that game to give the âHawks the win. The PBL's leading scorer Jeremy Bell who averages 23.9 points per game leads Arkansas. He beat out Riverhawks guard Ryan Edwards by 1.5 ppg to win the scoring crown.
The winner of Thursday's game will take on the winner of the Rochester Razor Sharks/Reading Railers East Division Championship Game. Rochester is the #1 seed and the East Division Regular Season Champions. They finished the 2008 season with a league best 18-2 record. One of their two losses came at the hands of their opponents, Reading. The Razor Sharks lost 114-99 to Reading one night before Quad City downed the Railers 96-93.
The PBL Championship Game will be played Sunday, March 30th at the home of the highest remaining seed. Tickets for Thursday's West Division Championship Game are $10 for Adults and $5 for seniors and Children.

The Quad City Riverhawks and Bishop's Buffet are offering fans one more chance to eat with the West Division Regular Season Champions. The Riverhawks will be eating at Bishop's Buffet in the South Park Mall, Moline, IL on Monday, March 24 from 5:30- 6:30 PM
