
RiverHawks Faithful Voting for "Fans' Choice" MVP

ROCKFORD, Ill. â Rockford RiverHawks fans have the chance to vote for the team's most valuable player on the RiverHawks' website. The ongoing poll is among several content changes to RockfordRiverHawks.com. Fans may choose the "Fans' Choice" MVP from among seven different players, including Frontier League strikeout and ERA record-holder Jason Shelley, two-time team RBI leader Ben Fjelland and big-play right fielder Rich Austin. Fjelland led polling through Tuesday. The poll will run through Nov. 17. The winner will be recognized prior to the 2004 home opener.
The site also features new content pages in addition to the main page. The "Hot Stove League" windows are available via links from the homepage. The windows track offseason news and notes from the RiverHawks, Rockford alumni and the Frontier League at large.
Press Conference Scheduled
In addition, the team will hold an important press conference regarding the future of RiverHawks baseball at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 10 at Loves Park City Hall.
