Florida Seals News Release

Citing some very difficult decisions, Orlando Seals coach Jim Paek has set the team's roster at the league mandated 16 players (14 skaters and two goaltenders) for the season opener in WHA2.

"It was so hard because all of the guys in camp came in and were in great shape and worked hard," Paek said. "They're good people too, but everyone realizes it's part of the business.

Paek made his decisions after the Seals defeated the Jacksonville Barracudas 6-4 and the Lakeland Loggerheads, 11-1in exhibition games, Saturday and Sunday.

The Seals roster:

Goaltenders: David Goverde and Mike Correia.

Defensemen: Ryan Anderson, Matt Brown, Joe Pecoraro, Ridvan Sadiki, and Mark White.

Forwards: Adam Campana, Brad Federenko, Seamus Galligan, Tomas Jelinek, Jerry Keefe, Mike Sanderson, Joe Seroski, B.J. Stephens, Joe Urbanik.

The Seals, Orlando's only reining professional championship team, open their regular season at TD Waterhouse Centre on Saturday November 8 against Lakeland. The first 1,500 fans will receive Thunder Sticks courtesy of Bay Technology and Anthony Squitieri plumbing. For more information call the Seals at (407) 447-PUCK (7825).
