RiverDogs sign rookie Mark Langdon

Richmond, VA – The Richmond RiverDogs of the United Hockey League have signed rookie center Mark Langdon to a contract for the 2004-'05 season. Langdon joins the ‘Dogs from Barrie of the Ontario Hockey League.

Langdon had 41 points in 64 games with Barrie last season. He was one of the Colts alternate captains. The Rochester, NY native also played junior hockey in the USHL with Des Moines and in the NAHL with Rochester. His father Steve played briefly in the NHL with Boston.

The ‘Dogs are also proud to announce they have partnered with Velocity Sports Performance of Richmond. Velocity Sports Performance will be the official speed and strength trainers of the RiverDogs. VSP will work with ‘Dogs players on training programs designed to enhance hockey performance and prevent injuries.

· The ‘Dogs now have 18 players under contract for 2004-'05: Brian Goudie, Paul Johnson, J.F. Picard, J.J. Wrobel, Luch Nasato, Jami Yoder, David Brosseau, Francis Belanger, Jordan Roach, Jonathan Gagnon, Jeff Sanger, Trevor Senn, Mark Turner, Ryan McIntosh, Sean Keene, Ryan Prentice, David Hymovitz, and Langdon.

· Season seats are on sale now for $545 in the Center section ($470 for minors and seniors), and $400 ($320 for minors and seniors) in End sections. To purchase your season seats please call 225-PUCK (7825).

· The ‘Dogs open their second season Friday, October 15 vs. Port Huron at 7:35 in the Richmond Coliseum.

· The ‘Dogs face the Missouri River Otters in a UHL preseason game Saturday, October 9 at 7:35 PM at the Roanoke Civic Center. For ticket information for that game please call the Roanoke Civic Center at (540) 853-6583.
