RiverDogs lose shootout 2-1

RICHMOND, VA - The Richmond RiverDogs tried to break the juggernaut that is the Adirondack Frostbite- however, despite playing spirited hockey, the Frostbite came away with a 2-1 shootout win in front of a crowd of 3,143 at the Richmond Coliseum. The Frostbite opened the scoring at the 11:31 mark with a goal from Sylvain Cloutier. The RiverDogs even the score at the 2:03 mark with a marker from David Brosseau with a great assist from Warren Cooper. The two teams tied 1-1 at the end of regulation going into the shootout. The Frostbite won the shootout 2-1 with goals going to Cloutier and Hugo Belanger. Richmond's lone marker in the shootout came from the blade of Rafal Martynowski.

Tomorrow night, 7:35pm, the RiverDogs play host to the Elmira Jackals and it is Toys For Tots Night. Fans are asked to bring an unwrapped toy to the game and all toys will be collected and given to children at hospitals in the Richmond area.
