CHARLESTON, SC -- The concession stands at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park will be one of several minor league parks featured in an upcoming segment on The Food Network.

A crew from The Food Network visited a Charleston RiverDogs - Savannah Sand Gnats game last July, and roamed the park to interview fans about the ballpark's food and beverage selections and tastes.

Entitled "Rachel Ray's Ballpark Cafe," the piece features Ms. Ray taking viewers on a tour of some of the best and most surprising ball park food in the major and minor leagues. In addition to Charleston, other cities the crew visited include Boston's Fenway Park; Ripken Stadium in Aberdeen, MD; KeySpan Park in Brooklyn; and a park in the Cape Cod League.

"We take great pride in the wide variety and top notch quality of our concessions," said RiverDogs General Manager Dave Echols. "We believe that our concession stands are on par with the best in the land."

Concessions at Riley Park are coordinated and operated by the RiverDogs.

"We savored everything from unique hot dogs, rich barbeque and superb pizza to hot crab cakes and killer desserts," said Karen Zanger, one of the segment's producers. "Baseball is better off because of these stands, and once the show airs, everyone will know where to find them."

The RiverDogs 2005 season, its first as an affiliate of the New York Yankees, begins April 7 when the Augusta Greenjackets visit Riley Park at 7:05 p.m.
