
Catfish Kick Off 2005 with Open House and Exhibition Game

Columbus Catfish News Release
Columbus, GA â The Catfish will open the doors to Golden Park on Tuesday, April 5th at 1:00pm to all fans for media day. Fans will be able to sit in the stands and collect autographs from the members of the 2005 Columbus Catfish. All fans attending will be entered in a drawing for four box seats to Opening Day on April 14th against the Rome Braves.
Following media day, the Catfish will kick off their 2005 season when they host the Columbus State Cougars at 6:00pm. The annual contest pairs the Los Angeles Dodgers single-A farm club against the 2002 NCAA Division II National Champions in a 9-inning wooden bat contest.
Tickets are still available for the exhibition and half of all ticket sales will be given back to the university. For more information please contact the Catfish Box Office at 706-571-8866.
The Catfish open the regular season on the road at Savannah on April 7th to take on the Sand Gnats (Nationals). Their first regular season contest at Golden Park is scheduled for April 14th versus the Rome Braves at 6pm. The night will conclude with a post-game Fireworks display. Tickets are available by calling the Catfish box office.
