
River Rats Preseason Game in Glens Falls

We would like to invite you to the Glens Falls Civic Center to see the Albany River Rats skate against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers in a pre-season contest on Saturday, September 30, 2006 at 7:00pm. The teams will also meet the night before in a 7:30pm game at The Rinks at Shelton, CT, which is the only other scheduled pre-season contest for the new American Hockey League affiliate of the Stanley Cup Champion Carolina Hurricanes.
Tickets for the pre-season game will cost five dollars and are available by visiting the Glens Falls Box Office or contacting the Box Office at (518) 798-0202. Tickets are also available through Ticketmaster at (518) 476-1000 or online at www.ticketmaster.com. The Glens Falls Civic Center, which opened in 1979, features 4,806 permanent seats and the ability to accommodate an audience of up to 7,800 patrons.
All net proceeds from the pre-season contest will go to the Adirondack Youth Hockey Association. The River Rats open the regular season on Friday, October 6 at the Rochester Americans, and open their home schedule at 7:00pm on Saturday, October 14 against the Hamilton Bulldogs with a special pre-game ceremony featuring the Stanley Cup.
