River Otters Re-Sign Top Scoring Defenseman

Missouri River Otters News Release
St. Charles, MO -- The Missouri River Otters of the United Hockey League are proud to announce that they have re-signed their top scoring defenseman from last season, Bob Rapoza.
Rapoza, 29, fired home nine goals and dished out 34 assists last season for 43 points. His steady play on the blue line was one of the bright lights for the Otters, and new coach Kevin Kaminski doesn't expect that to change.
"I expect Bob to be a veteran leader on defense," Kaminski said. "He knows how to take care of his own zone and he is a very creative offensive player. We're expecting big things from him this upcoming season."
The 6'2'', 225 pound defenseman is very excited to be coming back for another season with the Otters.
"There's new ownership, a new coach, and everything about the team is going to be different," Rapoza said. "I really love the area and the people, so I am really looking forward to coming back."
The River Otters start their Colonial Cup quest Friday, October 15 at Kansas City, and the home opener is Saturday, October 23 against Quad City.
