Defenseman Jeff Cameron brings heavy shot and toughness to the River Otters He scored 16 points in just 31 games for the New Mexico Scorpions (CHL)
ST. CHARLES, MO (September 17, 2003) â Head coach/director of hockey operations Lonnie Loach of the Missouri River Otters of the United Hockey League (UHL) announced today that defenseman Jeff Cameron has been signed for the 2003-2004 season. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Cameron is just over the marker for rookie status of 40 games (54), but he brings some experience to the team. He won the 2000-01 Avanet Cup Championship with the Weyburn Red Wings in the SJHL with former River Otter Casey van Schagen. Cameron has played for three different pro teams, two of which were Central Hockey League (CHL) member clubs, and the other was an East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) team- the Wheeling Nailers.
