
River Cats to Unveil New Logo at "Project Home Runway"

The Sacramento River Cats will unveil their new logo as well as new official team hats and Sunday uniform at "Project Home Runway," a fashion show event benefiting River Cats Independence Field. "Project Home Runway" will feature unique River Cats and baseball themed designs by Sacramento area designers and design students, as well as official team on-field gear and retail merchandise modeled by local celebrities. Celebrities include River Cats catcher John Baker, former Sacramento Solon players and various local celebrities and media personalities. Adrienne Bankert of KCRA-3 and "Voice of the River Cats" Johnny Doskow will serve as the event's MCs. Following the event, all items designed by local designers and design students will be auctioned off online with proceeds going to River Cats Independence Field.
River Cats Independence Field, which opened in 2005, is a baseball field designed specifically for children and adults with disabilities. The field is going into its second phase of construction with the expansion of the community picnic area and upgrade to restrooms and storage facilities.
