
River Cats Announce March 24 Exhibition Game Versus Giants to be Televised by KMAX-TV/CW31

WEST SACRAMENTO, CA - The River Cats and KMAX-TV (CW31) have announced that the Exhibition Game presented by ACE Hardware, will be broadcast live locally on CW31, starting at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, March 24 will be the first game between the Sacramento River Cats and San Francisco Giants since their inaugural meeting in 2016.
Due to the high level of interest in the game, the River Cats are expecting a capacity crowd at Raley Field. As a result, the River Cats organization has partnered with CW31 to broadcast the game locally.
"CBS13 Sports is thrilled to bring the River Cats/Giants contest to a wider audience on CW31," says Jay Howell, Vice President and General Manager of KOVR and KMAX-TV. "For those that can't attend the game, viewers will be able to experience this highly anticipated game."
His sentiment was echoed by Chip Maxson, General Manager of the River Cats: "We'd love to welcome everyone inside Raley Field for the River Cats and Giants game if we could. Fortunately, this provides a way for us to share this exciting matchup with even more fans in Northern California."
Fans, whether watching on CW31 or experiencing the game at Raley Field, will have the opportunity to not only see the 2018 River Cats players, but also their favorite members of the San Francisco Giants. Perennial All-Star Buster Posey and Gold Glove winner Brandon Crawford are expected to take the field alongside fellow superstars, and Giants newcomers, Andrew McCutchen and Evan Longoria.
