Riptide to Broadcast Games on World Talk Radio

SAN DIEGO â The San Diego Riptide announced today that they would air all 16 regular season games over the internet at www.WorldTalkRadio.com. The site, which also covers the Major Indoor Soccer League's San Diego Sockers, will begin coverage with this weekend's game in Arkansas.
World Talk Radio's unique format will allow Riptide fans a chance to hear all 16 games live, or tune in at their leisure and relive the excitement on World Talk's archives. Mark Rogondino, the voice of the Sockers, will be calling the play-by-play for all eight Riptide home games, and will also provide commentary for each San Diego road game as well, starting with the teams' trip to Bakersfield on April 17.

The World Talk Radio coverage will begin Saturday at 5:30 p.m. (PST) when the Riptide take on the National Conference Championship runner-up Arkansas Twisters.
After Saturday's game in Arkansas, the Riptide will return home to play the Green Bay Blizzard in their home opener, Friday, April 9 at 7:00 p.m. at the Sports Arena. Preceding the game will be a ceremony in which the team will present San Diego legend, Junior Seau, with an official Riptide jersey in honor of his numerous on and off-field contributions within the San Diego community.
The first 5,000 fans in attendance for the game will receive a free Junior Seau Riptide t-shirt, featuring the Riptide logo and Seau's name and number "55" emblazoned on the back, courtesy of Wells Fargo. Fans can get their tickets for "Junior Seau Night" at the Sports Arena for as little as $12 each at the Sports Arena box office, Ticketmaster, or by calling the Riptide offices at 866-RIPTIDE.
