Rio Tinto Stadium to Host UHSAA Girls Soccer Championships

SANDY, Utah (Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013) - Rio Tinto Stadium will host the best in Girls High School Soccer this weekend, as the Sandy facility will serve as host venue for the UHSAA Girls High School Soccer Championships for the fifth year in a row.
Rio Tinto Stadium will host the Class 4A and Class 5A Championships this Friday, Oct. 25. The Class 4A final between Timpanogos High School and Skyline High School will kick off at 4:30 p.m. Following the 4A contest, the 5A title matchup between Brighton High School and Viewmont High School will kick off at 7:00 p.m.
The Class 2A and 3A Championships will be held at the Sandy facility this Saturday, Oct. 26, with the 2A final set to kick at 1:30 p.m., followed by the 3A final at 4:00 p.m. The 2A and 3A Championship pairings will be set following Friday's semifinal rounds. The 2A Championship will pit the winner of the Waterford High School and Delta High School semifinal against the winner of the Millard High School and Summit Academy semifinal. The 3A semifinals will matchup Dixie High School against Park City High School and Cedar High School against Juan Diego High School. Both the 2A and 3A semifinals will be played just down State St. from Rio Tinto Stadium at Jordan High School in Sandy.
Tickets for both Friday and Saturday's championship matches are available for purchase online by clicking HERE, over the phone at 801-727-2700, and at the Rio Tinto Stadium box office on both gamedays, with student tickets available for $4 and adult tickets for $6. Fans should note that paid parking will be available on-site at Rio Tinto Stadium on both Friday and Saturday for $5.
