RIDGEFIELD, Washington - Three Ridgefield pitchers combined on a no-hitter, and the Yakima Valley Pippins suffered their second straight shutout, 10-0, on Tuesday to the Raptors.

The Pippins fell to 5-5 on the season, as they dropped game one of a three-game road series against the Raptors. It was the second straight shutout for the Pippins.

Patrick Engskov, Taylor Takata, Dasan Harris and Richard Tejeda III all made their Raptors debut against the Pippins. They combined for a 3-for-12 effort at the plate, with five runs scored and five RBIs.

On the mound, Dylan Stewart got going early for Ridgefield. He finished with seven punchouts in 5.0 inningsand earned his first win of the season. The Raptors finished with their first combined no-hitter since their organization began in the 2019 season. For Yakima Valley, finding the strike zone was a challenge in game one. The Pipps dealt nine walks to just eight strikeouts.

However, Tyler Disch put together his best performance on the mound so far this summer. The junior from Redmond, Washington, struck out the side in his lone inning to tie a single-game season-high for him in strikeouts.

The Pippins are back in action at 6:35 p.m. Wednesday from the Ridgefield Outdoor Recreation Complex. They will look to set themselves up for another decisive game three scheduled for Thursday night.
