Riders Sign Two on Defence

The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed American linebacker K.D. Davis and American defensive lineman Roman Lee Harrison.

Davis (6'0-230) joins the Roughriders after five seasons (2018-22) and 61 games played for the University of North Texas Mean Green. He made 428 career defensive tackles (fifth in UNT history), including 32 tackles for loss, 13 sacks, one interception, four pass deflections, one forced fumble and four fumble recoveries. As a senior, the Texas native was named the Conference USA (CUSA) Defensive Player of the Year, First Team All-CUSA, CUSA Linebacker of the Year and a Fourth Team All-American. His 139 defensive tackles that year ranked first in CUSA, fifth nationally and was the second-best season total in UNT history. He was also named First-Team All-CUSA as a junior in 2021.

Harrison (6'2-235) recently completed five collegiate seasons at Tennessee (2019-2023) where he played 47 games as a member of the Volunteers, including 11 games as a freshman. He went on to register 108 career defensive tackles, including 17 for a loss, eight sacks and 13 quarterback hurries. He posted his best season in 2022, earning career highs in tackles (39), tackles for loss (seven), sacks (three) and quarterback hurries (five) and was named the SEC Defensive Player of the Week after a strong showing against Vanderbilt. The Georgia native also made three tackles and one tackle for loss in the Volunteers' 2022 Capital One Orange Bowl victory over No. 7 Clemson. In his final season, Harrison was named to the 2024 Reese's Senior Bowl Watch List.
