The Lions also scored an average of 27.7 points per game, second highest in the CFL.

In 2021, Godber started all 14 regular season games at centre, his first season as a full-time starter. Over the 2019 and 2018 seasons, Godber saw action in 10 games. The Toronto native was selected by the Lions with the third overall pick of the 2018 CFL Draft.

Godber played five collegiate seasons (2013-17) at Rice University. He appeared in 48 games, starting in 35 of them. Godber was a versatile blocker for Rice, playing both right and left guard during his collegiate career.
