
Riders re-sign a pair of Canadians

Saskatchewan Roughrider General Manager/Vice President of Football Operations Eric Tillman announced today they have re-signed non-import defensive back Imokhai Atogwe and non-import linebacker Mike Mahoney to one year plus-an-option contracts. Financial details of the signings were not released.
Atogwe signed with the Riders midway through the 2007 season and dressed in six regular season games at defensive back. The 29-year old is entering his fourth CFL season. He has played in 29 career CFL games with Saskatchewan, Hamilton, and Edmonton.
Mahoney is entering his fourth CFL season and third with the Green and White. Mahoney dressed in 17 regular season games and both playoff games in 2006, recording five special teams tackles. The 26-year old was originally drafted by the Toronto Argonauts in 2004 and has also spent time with Calgary.
