'Riders Are Walk-Off Winners for the Second Straight Night

For the second straight night, the Frisco RoughRiders were walk-off winners. Third baseman Andy Jenkins drove in the game-winning run with an RBI single in the bottom of the 11th inning, securing a 4-3 win over the Missions.

Center fielder Engel Beltre led off the bottom of the 11th inning with a double to left field against San Antonio reliever, Alexis Lara. Joey Butler and Emerson Frostad struck out, leaving the inning in the hands of Andy Jenkins. Jenkins came through, singling through the left side of the infield to score Beltre with the winning run.

Brennan Garr (8-5, 5.61) worked a scoreless 11th inning and picked up the win, allowing two hits while recording a strikeout.

The Missions jumped on the scoreboard with two runs in the top of the second inning off of 'Riders starter, Richard Bleier. Right fielder Andrew Parrino broke a scoreless tie with an RBI groundout. Shorstop Lance Zawadzki then followed with an RBI single to give San Antonio a 2-0 lead.

Trailing 3-1 in the bottom of the eighth inning, Frisco was able to tie the game with RBI singles by Renny Osuna and Engel Beltre. Beltre finished the game 3-4.

Notes

Right fielder Joey Butler extended his hitting streak to 14 games.
